This journalistic series led by Democracy Abierta, makes visible the struggles of indigenous communities for survival in times of pandemic in the Amazon rainforests.
During the global crisis due to Covid-19, the indigenous peoples continue to defend their territories. They do so because extractivist projects and violence are advancing under the cover of the health crisis.
Flares from the Amazon was carried out in partnership with different media, including Agenda Propia and its intercultural journalistic team.
